They are reflections of their daily life. Some express their feelings, some depict their kampongs. The cemetery and the pink buildings for instance, is depicting their kampong which is surounded by big candy-like buildings. 
Some other paintings are more traditional, such as the 'wayang'; the flowers; as well as the self-portrait

Ghost is also popular in kampongs. It is as popular as violence. These are captured beautifully on canvas.
Most of the youths joining this workshop are street singers, brick layers, and others who are working in the informal sectors. Indonesia does not have any social security system. People have to do something, otherwise they will starve
